A collection of tight-knit communities, North Leeds has traditionally been one of the city’s most desirable areas to live in as it combines the serenity of rural living with all the convenience of being in one of the country’s biggest cities. From the rural atmosphere of Wigton Hill to the urban chic of Weetwood, this property will suit all kinds of guests’ tastes and needs, while there’s plenty to keep you occupied on a lazy weekend or quiet night after the daily grind.
Running right along Otley Road before reaching the Arndale Centre, Far Headingley is more than just an extension of Headingley itself. In actual fact, it’s a suburb with its own character, being quieter and more relaxed than other parts of Leeds. Its tree-lined avenues and streets make living here a joy, especially after a hard day’s work.
Beckett Park is on the edge of Far Headingley and is full of places to sit down and watch the world go by. Further east, the Meanwood Valley Trail leads towards Beckside Gardens, which has its own cafe and leads you towards the edge of Leeds City Centre southwards.
Far Headingley is ideally positioned on Otley Road, one of the main routes into and out of Leeds. It has great transport links, being served by many regular bus services and a train station, while it also happens to be a reasonable commuting distance away from the city centre.
Most buses serving Far Headingley go up and down Otley Road. The main routes are the 1, 6, 97/97A and X84. Buses take around 20-25 minutes to get to Leeds City Centre and less than five minutes to get to the centre of Headingley. The 97/97A and X84 go up to Otley and Guiseley via Yeadon.
Far Headingley is closest to Headingley station, which is a mile south of the shops on Otley Road. It takes 11 minutes to get to Leeds Station and around five minutes to go northwards to Horsforth if you want to get to Leeds Trinity University in a hurry.
